The Studio Atlanta Dance Performing Dance Companies are the
showcase of the studio. Members consist of young dancers, ages 7 & up*, who
show potential, dedication, talent, performance quality and interest in a more
challenging dance education. Belonging to one of TSAD’s Performing Dance Companies
is an honor, a privilege and a serious commitment. The amount of class hours
varies per company levels and range from 2 to 9 hours per week. All company
members must attend at least one summer workshop, choreography workshops (1 – 2
per year) and several rehearsals throughout the season (for any upcoming
performances). Our Performing Dance
Companies have performed at “The Festival of Trees” (The Georgia World Congress
Center) The Junior League’s “Breakfast with Santa”, “Fairy Tale Tea”, “The
Festival of Life”, Smynra Jonquil Festival, retirement/nursing homes and local school’s Art’s Nights and festivals.
Some of the benefits of being a company member are:
* additional performances throughout the season
* work with guest teachers and choreographers
* training for a professional or college dancing
* teacher assistant opportunities
* learning dance repertoire
* build lifelong friendships
Members must audition for placement in our companies. Auditions typically take place in early Spring with additional opportunities throughout the summer. If you are interested in having your dancer audition or to learn more contact one of our company coordinator.
